Mellor & Russell Simply Bright COLOURWASH

I absolutely love browsing poundland, bargain hunting is my forte! Anyway, so basically school is over forever and I thought that I would mark my rebellion by dying my hair blue. A couple of weeks a go I ombré’d my hair so there were already blonde bits that I could dye!  My bank account isn’t exactly loving life right now, exam season means most of my money goes to junk food, coffee and stationary. I was browsing around town and there were a few different brands I could choose from. I chose not to go for Schwarzkopf because of previous experience with Schwarzkopf products, I also didn’t opt for the Bleach London colours because I’ve tried the Mermaid Blue colour and suffice to say the colour was not even similar to the swatch on the bottle! During my little browse around poundland I found a bottle of this simply bright Mellor And Russell coloured conditioner, it seemed like a long shot for it to work but for £1 a bottle I thought I would give it a go, so I grabbed a couple of these, (pink and blue) The instructions are pretty basic, apply to shampooed, towel tried hair for 15 minutes and then simply rinse out… to tell you the truth I wasn’t expecting much from this dye at all, but i suppose if it came out well it would be a nice surprise. The bottle itself doesn’t have any swatches and I didn’t know what to expect. The actual product is a royal blue colour and smells really nice! The only problem with this product was the application, it was really difficult to get on every strand of hair, and took a while to try and massage it in properly. 20 MINUTES LATER (Added another 5 for luck) The final result: I was amazed, the colour was so vibrant and my hair was soft and smelt really good! Definitely recommend this product and would use this again, Im not sure about the other shades available but I absolutely love this colour, I think it really depends on the base colour of your hair but for my bleached blonde hair, which was more of a golden than white the final result was more of a bright turquoise! Thoughts: I’d give this dye an 9/10, the colour is amazing and the price is incredible but the only problem is the application is a bit blotchy if you don’t try to really rub it into the hair!

StyleEASY Heart Hair Styler

I bought this product recently, I had been hoping something like this would pop up on the market and I was super happy that I saw it on sale in Asda for an affordable £2.

The heart is made out of two layers of black foam and a harder piece of fabric in the centre, it is quite a small bun shaper. To do this style all you do is wear your hair in a ponytail thread it through the centre and then spread your hair around the shape and secure the loose end under with bobby pins.

I loved this product, although I’d feel that it does not suit longer hair or thick hair as the hole is quite small and the donut itself is quite small.

Overall the donut suited my thin dark shoulder length hair really well, my only complaint really is the shape, I think the heart shape should be more defined.
Overall, a great product for certain types of hair, so maybe a range of these products in different sizes and colours as this would only really work for medium length, thin and dark hair! I would give this product:

9/10 Price

3/10 variations

9.5/10 style
